About the role

  • Provide specialist support and scientific consultation to specialist physicians in hospitals and in outpatient care, with scientific expertise and a particular focus on COPD.
  • Analyze and evaluate available market data, including conducting market and potential analyses to identify opportunities and development potential within the assigned territory.
  • Consistently implement the company strategy by developing tailored measures such as continuing education and training concepts — aligned to the individual needs of each target group.
  • Prepare account plans that take available budgets into account and work closely with Medical, Marketing and Therapy Area Specialists from other regions.
  • Implement account strategies and plans in strict compliance with all internal and external guidelines and applicable codes.
  • Work closely with First Line Sales Managers, Medical Science Liaison Managers and the Marketing team to gain robust stakeholder insights and to optimize alignment of marketing, sales and medical activities.
  • Develop and implement innovative training and education concepts that respond to the current needs of customers.
  • Attend congresses, sponsorships and events to maintain existing customer relationships and to support your own professional development.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Administration or a natural science — alternatively a qualification as a certified pharmaceutical representative.
  • Several years of experience supporting specialist physicians in hospitals and outpatient care as a field-based representative, and experience in the respiratory therapy area or other specialty care areas such as rheumatology.
  • In-depth understanding of products, markets and customer needs.
  • Experience in account management and strategic customer development.
  • Strong communication skills, team orientation, and a high degree of flexibility and self-motivation.
  • Willingness to travel and strong proficiency in MS Office.
  • Business-fluent German and good English.
