About the role
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, disease states, and treatment guidelines within the primary care setting.
- Apply expertise in sales metrics, market analysis, and budget management to drive performance.
- Share actionable insights to guide brand strategy and influence business decisions.
- Coach and develop approximately 9 sales representatives to enhance performance and professional growth, including in-field customer engagement.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment by setting clear expectations and providing ongoing support.
- Inspire and motivate a team of experienced professionals through strategic leadership and adaptability.
- Navigate complex market dynamics with resilience and resourcefulness while maintaining focus on business objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities by leveraging market insights and customer feedback to drive innovative sales strategies.
- Enable the team to gain access through multiple selling channels, utilizing technology to maximize impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of demonstrated line management experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical people management experience (desirable)
- Established subject matter expertise in formulary management and PBMs (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in scientific or evidence-based selling, preferably within specialty or complex therapeutic areas (desirable)
- Familiarity with the Boston-area healthcare ecosystem, including academic medical centers and integrated delivery networks (IDNs), is a plus (desirable)
