About the role

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, disease states, and treatment guidelines within the primary care setting.
  • Apply expertise in sales metrics, market analysis, and budget management to drive performance.
  • Share actionable insights to guide brand strategy and influence business decisions.
  • Coach and develop approximately 9 sales representatives to enhance performance and professional growth, including in-field customer engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment by setting clear expectations and providing ongoing support.
  • Inspire and motivate a team of experienced professionals through strategic leadership and adaptability.
  • Navigate complex market dynamics with resilience and resourcefulness while maintaining focus on business objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities by leveraging market insights and customer feedback to drive innovative sales strategies.
  • Enable the team to gain access through multiple selling channels, utilizing technology to maximize impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of demonstrated line management experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven leadership and people management capabilities
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical people management experience (desirable)
  • Established subject matter expertise in formulary management and PBMs (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in scientific or evidence-based selling, preferably within specialty or complex therapeutic areas (desirable)
  • Familiarity with the Boston-area healthcare ecosystem, including academic medical centers and integrated delivery networks (IDNs), is a plus (desirable)
