About the role
- Develop superior product and disease state knowledge; educate and engage healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles.
- Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts and assigned budgets.
- Complete all training requirements, including product examinations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed care information for your territory.
- Collaborate with your District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to develop a local strategy and business plan.
- Capitalize on formulary approvals and implement Strategic Targeting Plans using promotional resources and analytical tools.
- Provide educational programs to healthcare providers within AstraZeneca’s ethical guidelines.
- Coordinate selling efforts with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists around common objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of Respiratory and Immunology sales experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturer
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Current knowledge of AstraZeneca R&I brands
- Experience in asthma rescue and triple therapy markets
- Established relationships with Internal Medicine and Family Practice accounts in Central Illinois
- 10+ years of prior pharma sales experience
