About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including pre-employment screenings such as background checks, drug screening, physicals, onboarding tickets, new hire documentation, and Form I-9 completion in compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Support on site and virtual new hire orientation to ensure a smooth and positive onboarding experience
  • Assist with offboarding processes, including initiating exit procedures, coordinating final pay information, and partnering with Payroll, IT, and management to ensure timely system access termination
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee and candidate inquiries; respond to standard to moderately complex questions related to onboarding, payroll, benefits, HRIS transactions including ADP Workforce Now, policies, and general HR procedures
  • Support employee job changes, transfers, and employee data updates within HR systems as assigned
  • Assist with employment verifications, unemployment claims, child support notices, and responses to government or regulatory agencies under guidance
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and audit ready employee records and documentation
  • Support audits, compliance activities, and reporting requests
  • Partner with HR team members on assigned projects, process improvements, and system updates
  • Perform other HR related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • A combination of relevant education and progressively responsible experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office or HR administrative setting preferred
  • Prior human resources experience a plus
  • Experience in healthcare, IPA, MSO, clinic, or hospital environments strongly preferred

  • Our organization follows an hybrid work structure for this role where the expectation is to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week. The office location is 1668 S. Garfield Ave. 2nd Floor, Alhambra, CA 91801
  • Periodic on-site presence will be required across hospitals; clinics; IPA sites; MSO administrative offices; and other operational locations. May include occasional meetings with carriers; TPAs; or site leaders.
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is $23 - 26 hourly.
