About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work as lead member of a design team
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of enclosures that contain electronics for various devices
  • Plan and manage activities for advanced development of ADAS and other automotive control modules
  • Benchmarking and design optimization of architectures
  • Ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed time frame
  • Work closely with key customers
  • Track project deliverables and ensure on-time completion
  • Directly manage junior engineers and their workstreams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience as a design engineer
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, MS preferred
  • 3D CAD – 3D modeling/Assembly and 2D drafting skills required
  • SolidWorks is preferred
  • Understanding of FEA and CFD
  • Familiarity with standard automotive procedures (DFMEA, PPAP, Design Reviews, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain project timing and track deliverables to completion
  • Demonstratable mastery of the engineering problem solving methodology
  • Experience leading multiple automotive projects
  • Working electrical knowledge
  • Working knowledge of various manufacturing techniques (Stamping, High Pressure Die Cast, Injection Molding, Surface/Heat treatments, etc.)
