About the role

  • Maintain and enhance quality control systems to support accuracy and compliance in background check processes.
  • This includes processing orders that fall into quality-related queues managed by the Compliance team.
  • Provides timely updates and notifications of delays as needed.
  • Uses Salesforce to provide timely and accurate information when documenting steps taken to review orders for quality-related purposes.
  • Track and report on quality and compliance KPIs for quality-related queues.
  • Review and assess company policies and procedures, recommending updates as necessary to maintain compliance and improve quality.
  • Documents when a researcher, source, or vendor does not meet the company’s standards and proactively escalates issues and risks to the Manager, Compliance.
  • Conducts reinvestigations in accordance with applicable law, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, for various search types.
  • Performs complex research into escalated or unusual cases and develops and recommends solutions to resolve them.
  • Communicates with courts and vendors, such as external public research vendors, to resolve issues and escalated cases.
  • Responds to quality-related questions and inquiries from internal departments in a timely manner, providing subject-matter expertise.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Experience in research or investigations is required.
  • Experience with web-based research is required.
  • Experience with professional talent development, time management, and prioritization are required.
  • Experience with the legal/court system is preferred.
  • Experience with background screening is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
  • Relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, CRM, etc. is preferred.
  • Salesforce is required.
  • Education: High school diploma is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Certifications or licensure: Professional Background Screening Association Core or Advanced certificate is required, or the capability exists for this to be achieved.
  • If you do any work-related driving while at Asurint, a driver’s license and ability to maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the company’s liability insurance carrier is required.
  • Years of relevant experience: 2 to 5 years is preferred.
