About the role
- Develop and execute business development strategies to lead strategic initiatives and drive growth across key markets and partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders and decision-makers, including end-users throughout USG organizations and other DoW agencies.
- Identify emerging requirements and position AST SpaceMobile solutions to meet mission needs.
- Assist in proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure solutions align with customer requirements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and policy changes impacting space and communications sectors.
- Manage relationships with FFRDCs and other strategic partners.
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in any discipline; candidates with engineering, physics, or similar technical backgrounds are strongly preferred.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10–15 years in business development or program capture within aerospace, satellite, or communications industry
- Must have experience working with U.S. Government and/or associated FFRDCs.
- Active Secret or Top-Secret security clearance (required; TS/SCI (active BI) preferred).
- Proven track record of supporting U.S. Government contracts and understanding complex programs.
- Background working with satellite/space communications technology
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and government procurement cycles.
- Experience engaging with DoW organizations.
