About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Obtain a basic understanding of insurance accounting, terminology, and assigned warranty programs
Complete standard journal entries for warranty programs with timely support and approvals
Complete assigned account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly
Collaborate with departments and follow up to research and resolve outstanding issues
Prepare wire/ACH transfers and check requests with appropriate approvals
Assist financial analysts with audit requests and ad hoc questions about financial results
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the position, including support for AI/automation initiatives
Keep organizational information confidential
Perform other projects and assignments as department and company needs change

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another accounting/finance-related field
3–5 years of general accounting experience
Experience in journal-entry processing, ledger reconciliations, and general accounting
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Detail-oriented approach
Strong technical accounting and problem-solving skills
High attention to accuracy
Ability to stay organized while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word
Experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, SmartStream, or another general-ledger ERP system preferred
Insurance accounting experience would be a plus
Alteryx experience would be a plus
Good work ethic
Ability to work 5:30 PM–2:30 AM IST evening shift
