About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop business with dealers and OEMs in the commercial equipment market, focused on construction and agriculture
  • Identify and pursue potential clients and opportunities
  • Service existing clients and present proposals addressing client needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Work directly with equipment dealers and dealer groups on training, marketing, and dealer issues
  • Provide training and support for the online quoting system to F&I managers, sales managers, sales staff, and dealer principals
  • Arrange and attend visits with current and new dealer personnel
  • Collaborate with OEM Finance and Insurance personnel to facilitate sales of company products and services
  • Educate customers and create awareness of available products and services
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and relationships with dealers and OEM accounts
  • Prepare and send monthly reports and dealer announcements
  • Prepare and present proposals to individual and group customers
  • Conduct direct customer-facing work with dealer sales teams
  • Follow up weekly by phone and provide additional training after sales visits
  • Attend equipment conventions and shows, manage booths, and interact with dealers and staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3 years of business development and sales experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience selling Finance & Insurance products, including insurance, service contracts, or extended warranties, in the commercial equipment industry
  • Goal-oriented self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Strong communication, presentation, and technology skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of commercial agriculture and construction equipment markets and dealer networks
  • Strong understanding of the commercial equipment lending market
  • Approximately 50–65% overnight travel
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Property and Casualty Insurance license is helpful
