About the role
- Documentation and Testing of Controls
- Collaborate with process owners to identify and document business processes and controls.
- Advise on risk and control identification within processes.
- Develop test plans and perform control testing to ensure design and operational effectiveness.
- Evaluate control deficiencies and recommend enhancements.
- Partner with management to define and monitor risk mitigation plans.
- Maintain expertise in risk-based internal control standards.
- Monitor and test compliance with internal control requirements (financial and non-financial).
- Support internal and external audits using established methodologies.
- Coordinate audit resources and deliverables.
- Ensure management action plans are defined for identified issues.
- Facilitate remediation and retesting of controls.
- Maintain accurate audit data and report issue progress.
- Build relationships with business leaders and managers.
- Stay informed about industry, regulatory, and organizational changes that impact controls.
- Apply active listening to understand business risks and respond effectively.
- Utilize departmental tools and methodologies to achieve team goals.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and Centers of Excellence.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through internal and external training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Operations, Compliance, Finance, or related field; or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with business process documentation and control testing.
- Six Sigma knowledge or certification.
- Familiarity with MS Visio and SharePoint.
