About the role
- Lead underwriting and portfolio management for new and existing loan transactions in the power and utilities sector.
- Partner with Relationship Managers as a trusted client contact, helping structure deals, manage amendments, and deliver exceptional service.
- Monitor covenant compliance, track portfolio performance, and ensure adherence to credit policy, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Review loan and legal documentation, borrowing requests, and disbursements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Risk, Legal, Loan Operations, and Credit.
- Support portfolio growth by driving loan and deposit activity, fee income, and referrals.
- Mentor and guide junior portfolio managers, fostering professional development and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or other related discipline, or equivalent related experience.
- 4+ years of Commercial, Corporate, Commercial Real Estate, Specialized Banking and/or Credit Approval Experience.
- 4+ years of extensive experience handling complex credits.
- 3+ years working in Specialized Finance - Energy.
- 2+ years of sales experience.
- 2+ years of formal credit training.
- Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive.
