About the role
- Gain hands-on experience in how risk management supports the success of Commercial Banking.
- Learn and apply Associated Bank’s risk management frameworks, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
- Understand the commercial lending cycle and the wide range of banking products that support business clients.
- Analyze business processes to identify and assess risks across multiple commercial banking lines.
- Collaborate with corporate risk management teams to monitor and report risk exposures.
- Assist in preparing risk dashboards and metrics, including key risk and performance indicators.
- Support project planning and coordination of key initiatives within Commercial Banking.
- Participate in specialized training to deepen knowledge and enhance professional skills.
- Complete program assignments and assessments within required timeframes, demonstrating continuous learning and growth.
Requirements
- First-generation college student currently pursuing an undergraduate degree.
- Must reside within 30 miles of Milwaukee or Chicago for the duration of the internship.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Interest in banking, finance, or risk management.
- Coursework or prior experience related to business, finance, or data analysis preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership or involvement in campus or community organizations preferred.
