About the role

  • The Pre-Sales Engineer serves as the technical expert and primary technical resource for the sales team.
  • Driving the technology evaluation stage of the sales process.
  • Explain the value and positioning of AssetWorks' solutions to technical and business audiences.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction at every sales cycle stage by identifying and addressing technical requirements and building lasting relationships.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the AssetWorks product suite and effectively communicate its benefits to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and requirement analyses for new and existing customers.
  • Design, deliver, and present tailored product demonstrations that address customer challenges and highlight AssetWorks' value proposition.
  • Manage and prioritize sales opportunities, ensuring alignment with account executives and sales strategies.
  • Build trust and foster strong relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and support teams to relay customer feedback, prioritize feature requests, and contribute to the product roadmap.
  • Maintain detailed account and opportunity information in HubSpot to track progress, prioritize activities, and drive sales pipeline success.
  • Participate in marketing activities, user community events, and industry conferences as a product expert and brand ambassador.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of databases, application servers, and SQL.
  • Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of accelerating the sales cycle and increasing deal size.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and AI solutions such as Claude.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • High energy, positive attitude, and strong team collaboration skills.
  • BA/MBA or equivalent work experience in technology or a related field.
  • Strong desire to succeed in enterprise software sales.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a similar Pre-Sales Engineer role supporting complex enterprise solutions.
