About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review Affordable Housing resident files for eligibility and compliance with all required laws
  • Review applicant information and complete file reviews within 24 hours of receipt
  • Adhere to policies and procedures in the personnel manual
  • Monitor changes in LIHTC regulations and requirements and implement modifications as indicated
  • Attend annual TDHCA trainings
  • Participate in HCCP training within the first two years of employment and pass the exam to receive the HCCP designation
  • Participate in tax credit reviews by outside entities
  • Travel approximately 50% of work time for property visits, conferences, training sessions, or other business activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Experience or proficiency with RealPage Onesite Tax Credit software
  • Housing Credit Certified Professional certification is a plus; if not certified, attendance at HCCP training within the first two years and a passing exam are required
  • Knowledge of the HUD program is a plus
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to attend annual TDHCA trainings
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of work time
  • Ability to meet additional compliance requirements for a safety-sensitive position
