About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide a remarkable patient experience as one of the first people patients interact with at appointments
- Support providers diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, providing gynecological care, and delivering urgent care for patients over 18
- Take patient vital signs
- Note patients’ needs and concerns
- Assist with clinic procedures and examinations

- Provide quality care in a compassionate, patient- and family-centered environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One of: completion of an accredited medical assistant program; licensure as an LPN; completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program; attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee; acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated; or one year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA, or CCMA Certification
- Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required, or licensure as an LPN upon hire
- If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification upon hire required
- CPR/BLS certification upon hire required
- 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN preferred
