About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead strategic growth initiatives across Wisconsin and Illinois
- Identify opportunities to expand access to world-class care and strengthen mission-advancing partnerships
- Collaborate with executive leaders, physicians, finance, analytics, and operations teams
- Evaluate growth opportunities and develop business cases
- Guide mergers and acquisitions activities
- Oversee partnership integration efforts
- Expand high-priority clinical programs including pediatric specialties, neurosciences, transplant, oncology, and other strategic service lines
- Position UW Health as a preferred destination for patients and healthcare partners across the region
- Represent UW Health externally and translate strategic opportunities into measurable organizational results
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration or Health Administration. Required
- 5 years of experience in entrepreneurial, business development, management consulting, mergers and acquisitions, healthcare strategy or related efforts in start-up to large organization environments. Required
- Experience in business development, healthcare strategy, management consulting, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, or growth leadership
- Proven ability to translate strategic opportunities into measurable organizational results
- Master's Degree in Business or Health Administration. Preferred
- 5 years of experience with an integrated health system with multiple markets. Preferred
- Ability to work Monday through Friday during core business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Regular availability to work onsite in Madison, WI
- Off-hours availability may be required
