About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver compassionate, multidisciplinary, coordinated care for breast patients through comprehensive and personalized patient-centered care
- Partner with breast cancer patients and families through prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship
- Provide patient education and coordinate care for patients diagnosed with breast cancer or other breast conditions
- Collaborate with genetic counselors, breast surgeons, plastic surgeons, medical oncologists, radiologists, radiation oncologists, and advanced practice providers
- Assess patients during visits and via telephone triage
- Work Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., with no weekends, holidays, or call
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of a school of nursing
- At least 6 months of RN experience
- Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact upon hire
- Current CPR/BLS certification upon hire
- Relevant inpatient RN experience preferred
- Ambulatory experience preferred
- Relevant oncology experience preferred
- Chemotherapy experience preferred
- Experience with venous access devices (VADs) and IV skills preferred
- Certification in specialty area of practice preferred
