About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead enterprise-wide quality and safety initiatives that support nursing-sensitive indicators, hospital-acquired condition prevention, regulatory readiness, and National Patient Safety Goals.
- Design, implement, maintain, and evaluate evidence-based programs that improve quality, safety, and clinical outcomes through process improvement and sustainable practice change.
- Provide clinical expertise and program leadership by developing workflows, translating evidence into practice, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across the organization.
- Review current research, best practices, and regulatory standards to develop, implement, and evaluate programs that advance nursing quality and safety.
- Partner with nursing and system leaders through enterprise-wide committees, workgroups, and communication strategies to drive organizational priorities and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate program outcomes and coordinate educational initiatives that promote evidence-based practice, professional nursing excellence, and a culture of quality and safety throughout UW Health.

Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's Degree in Nursing Required or
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required and
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Administration or related field Required or
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing AND twenty (20) years of nursing experience with a minimum of ten (10) of those years being in a nursing supervisor role or above may be considered in lieu of Master’s Degree Required
- Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred and
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Administration or related field Preferred
- 5 years of relevant experience working as a Registered Nurse Required
- Experience with the applicable program Preferred
- Program or project management experience Preferred
