About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead enterprise-wide quality and safety initiatives that support nursing-sensitive indicators, hospital-acquired condition prevention, regulatory readiness, and National Patient Safety Goals.
Design, implement, maintain, and evaluate evidence-based programs that improve quality, safety, and clinical outcomes through process improvement and sustainable practice change.
Provide clinical expertise and program leadership by developing workflows, translating evidence into practice, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across the organization.
Review current research, best practices, and regulatory standards to develop, implement, and evaluate programs that advance nursing quality and safety.
Partner with nursing and system leaders through enterprise-wide committees, workgroups, and communication strategies to drive organizational priorities and continuous improvement.
Evaluate program outcomes and coordinate educational initiatives that promote evidence-based practice, professional nursing excellence, and a culture of quality and safety throughout UW Health.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's Degree in Nursing Required or
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required and
Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Administration or related field Required or
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing AND twenty (20) years of nursing experience with a minimum of ten (10) of those years being in a nursing supervisor role or above may be considered in lieu of Master’s Degree Required
Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred and
Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Administration or related field Preferred
5 years of relevant experience working as a Registered Nurse Required
Experience with the applicable program Preferred
Program or project management experience Preferred
