About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct psychiatric assessments of pediatric patients with acute and chronic mental illness in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Assess the patient’s psychosocial, cognitive, developmental and medical status and identify functional assets and limitations of both the patient and family system.
- See patients and family members as needed for new and follow-up psychiatric care including medications and psychotherapy.
- Be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program (if Nurse Practitioner)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program (if Physician Assistant)
- Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin (if Nurse Practitioner)
- Active board certification as a NP in Psychiatric-Mental Health (if Nurse Practitioner)
- Active PA license in State of Wisconsin and Active PA board certification (if Physician Assistant)
- Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
