About the role

  • .6 FTE, 1st and 2nd shift, hybrid positions; work three days per week; onsite 1-2 times per week at 610 N Whitney Way, Madison, WI.
  • Support paging, messaging and scheduling, and appointment services for UW Health.
  • Provide remarkable customer service to UW Health staff, physicians, and patients.
  • Confirm and cancel appointments on nights, weekends and holidays for specifically designated clinics.
  • Take various calls ranging from connecting callers to inpatient rooms, notifying an on-call physician about an organ offer, and executing emergency plans.
  • Use high quality personal computer workstations, state-of-the-art telephone technology, and proprietary call handling, message taking, appointment scheduling and radio paging software.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field (Required).
  • 2 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field (Strongly Preferred).
  • Experience in a large automated call service center and familiarity with at least one form of call processing software (Preferred).
  • 1 year of experience in a medical, call center, or customer service environment (Preferred).
  • Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift schedules, nights/weekends/holidays coverage and every third weekend; hybrid onsite 1-2 times per week.
