About the role
- Build the GPO Business
- Define and launch the operating model, participation structure, and commercial framework
- Develop a clear roadmap from launch to scaled revenue
- Establish governance, reporting, and financial tracking mechanisms
- Evaluate build vs. partnership vs. acquisition opportunities
- Secure and Structure Strategic Vendor Partnerships
- Identify and prioritize high-impact hospitality spend categories
- Recruit anchor suppliers and negotiate national or preferred agreements
- Structure vendor-funded monetization models (rebates, admin fees, hybrid structures)
- Build long-term, scalable supplier relationships
- Drive Adoption and Revenue Growth
- Activate aggregated customer spend across the installed base
- Partner with portfolio CEOs and commercial teams to drive participation
- Ensure measurable economic value for operators
- Establish recurring vendor-funded revenue streams
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of experience within a Group Purchasing Organization, purchasing consortium, shared services platform, or similar commercial aggregation model
- Demonstrated experience negotiating national supplier agreements and structuring rebate or vendor-funded monetization models
- Proven track record of launching or scaling a GPO, purchasing network, or vendor ecosystem
- Experience building or growing a business unit or commercial platform from early stage to scaled revenue
- Exposure to private equity-backed or multi-brand environments is a strong plus
- Hospitality industry experience is helpful but not required
