About the role
- Oversee all accounting, reporting, and compliance activities for European entities, ensuring adherence to IFRS, local GAAP and Valsoft standards.
- Implement robust internal controls across key areas such as revenue recognition, balance sheet management, and cash flow discipline.
- Drive consistency in accounting policies, reporting practices, and control environments across the portfolio.
- Partner with Portfolio finance to ensure the timely submission of consolidated reporting and alignment with Valsoft Finance best practices.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the European Managing Directors, providing financial insights and decision support to drive operational performance.
- Translate financial data into actionable strategies that support growth, efficiency, and profitability objectives.
- Assist with M&A activities through financial due diligence, integration planning, and implementation to ensure new acquisitions are seamlessly aligned with group policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional finance team.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented culture, promoting the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement.
- Drive the rollout and optimization of financial systems (including Oracle NetSuite) across Europe.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency, ensuring scalability as the portfolio grows.
- Champion data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness in financial reporting.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) with strong technical accounting background.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in finance leadership roles within a multi-entity or multinational environment.
- Proven experience managing statutory compliance and leading audit processes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across diverse teams and cultures.
- Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable — comfortable operating in a decentralized, high-growth, acquisitive environment.
- Experience with M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite preferred).
- Fluent in English and Spanish; additional European languages are an asset.
