Sales Account Executive – Energy
Aspen TechnologySales Account Executive responsible for revenue growth through AspenTech software solutions. Managing customer relationships and articulating business value while achieving sales quotas.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for generating revenue growth through the sale of software solutions and professional services
- Manage assigned accounts and opportunities maximizing revenue growth
- Effectively manage customer relations through Quarterly Customer Business Reviews and regular customer visits
- Articulate solution business value to customers
- Gather market information to analyze competition and consumer/market trends
- Demonstrate understanding of the customer's business priorities and initiatives
- Effectively negotiate consistent with AspenTech’s overall strategy
- Manage day-to-day sales process and coordinate account meetings
- Accurate and timely completion of all reports and forecasts
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8 years demonstrated success in direct sales of software solutions
- University degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) preferred, Chemical Engineering or relevant technical degree a plus
- Track record of closing large and complex sales opportunities
- Ability to communicate customer benefits through financial analysis
- Experience establishing and cultivating "C" level consultative relationships
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong business acumen
- Personal computer literacy including Excel, Powerpoint and CRM tools
- May require 50%+ travel per calendar year, including overnight travel
