About the role

  • Develop strategies and business plans to increase sales of ASME’s products within an assigned geography
  • Work across channel partners and manage direct accounts as appropriate
  • Lead strategic plan to grow revenue within assigned territory
  • Lead efforts with Product, Marketing, and Finance to develop and execute strategies and business plans
  • Create budgets and forecasts for the territory with Finance and Sales leadership
  • Maintain and revise budgets and present to senior leadership at Monthly Business Review Meetings
  • Keep accurate Salesforce.com database of sales opportunities, update account records and contacts, and track sales activity daily
  • Develop a network of contacts and influencers at each reseller and collaborate with resellers to meet with end-user customers
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and secure renewals for direct buy clients
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and grow revenue
  • Develop expert understanding of ASME products and serve as subject matter expert
  • Gather and share market data and intelligence with internal departments

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or additional equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in publishing sales
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Salesforce proficiency
  • Customer focused, with effective interpersonal and communication (oral & written) skills
  • Proven experience managing accounts and growing revenue in a defined territory
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a collaborative environment
  • Prior experience as a consultative sales representative in the publishing industry a plus
