About the role
- Lead and oversee daily purchasing operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Manage the transition and ongoing use of Sage Intacct for purchasing workflows.
- Ensure all purchasing activities are centralized, standardized, and properly documented.
- Partner with Finance to align purchasing data with financial reporting.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure quality goods and services.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and monitor performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and contract optimization.
- Partner with clinical and operational teams to forecast purchasing needs.
- Ensure alignment between purchasing, inventory management, and operational demand.
- Support coordination across departments for timely procurement.
- Develop and maintain purchasing dashboards and reports.
- Monitor key metrics such as spend trends and vendor performance.
- Provide insights to Finance and leadership to support budgeting.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing, materials management, or supply chain operations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing systems.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and procurement processes.
- Experience in healthcare or FQHC environment (preferred).
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct or similar) (preferred).
- Background in finance, operations, or business administration (preferred).
