About the role

  • Lead and oversee daily purchasing operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Manage the transition and ongoing use of Sage Intacct for purchasing workflows.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities are centralized, standardized, and properly documented.
  • Partner with Finance to align purchasing data with financial reporting.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure quality goods and services.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and monitor performance.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and contract optimization.
  • Partner with clinical and operational teams to forecast purchasing needs.
  • Ensure alignment between purchasing, inventory management, and operational demand.
  • Support coordination across departments for timely procurement.
  • Develop and maintain purchasing dashboards and reports.
  • Monitor key metrics such as spend trends and vendor performance.
  • Provide insights to Finance and leadership to support budgeting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, materials management, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing systems.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and procurement processes.
  • Experience in healthcare or FQHC environment (preferred).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct or similar) (preferred).
  • Background in finance, operations, or business administration (preferred).
