About the role
- Project accounting: Lead A/P, A/R, payroll allocations, general ledger activity, and month‑end close for assigned projects.
- Cash management: Reconcile project bank accounts, manage disbursements and drawdowns, and protect project liquidity.
- Audit and compliance: Prepare lender reports, compliance packages, and coordinate internal and external audits.
- Financial operations: Oversee journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and maintain audit‑ready records.
- Policy and controls: Apply GAAP, internal policies, and contractual accounting requirements across project agreements.
- Stakeholder partnership: Work closely with project teams, contractors, and finance partners to align budgets, timelines, and forecasts.
- Reporting and insights: Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and executive reporting that inform funding and capital decisions.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of accounting experience; project, construction, or infrastructure experience strongly preferred.
- Credentials: CPA preferred or actively pursuing.
- Systems: Proficient with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite; advanced Excel and BI reporting skills.
- Skills: Clear communicator for nonfinance audiences; strong analytical rigor and attention to detail; reliable multi‑project time management.
