About the role

  • Manage daily operations, develop long term strategic plans, annual operating plans and budgets, set performance goals, and establish company policies related to drafting and delivery of plan documents, service agreements, related documents and amendments
  • Direct and work with business owners and other centers of excellence to ensure client satisfaction and contractual adherence
  • Partner with senior leaders, Legal, Risk and Compliance, Institutional Relationship Management and Service to ensure legislative compliance and data security
  • Provide leadership and management of department budget(s), strategic vision, annual operating plan, associate and revenue retention objectives, operational controls, and process/technology innovation
  • Drive execution of Mass Document Events to deliver legislative amendments, restatements, and related agreements or documents
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and performance feedback to team members and leadership of 3–5 direct reports
  • Responsible for organizational planning, staffing, operating plans, achieving revenue objectives, and budgeted expense targets
  • Oversee team reporting, data management, system updates and technical enhancements
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, analyze data to identify trends, and monitor key performance metrics
  • Participate in strategic initiatives, identify risks and develop mitigation solutions
  • Ensure protection, security, and proper handling of confidential client and company data

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 8-10 years’ experience in retirement services industry, particularly experience with retirement plan documents, service agreement and system updates for defined contributions plans
  • Proven leadership experience, with solid decision-making skills and building strong operational teams
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the legislative/regulatory environment in the retirement industry
  • High level of integrity and ethical judgment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of internal and external counterparts
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to incorporate large teams of temporary and offshore associates for extended periods of time
  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data
