About the role
- Provide customer service and processing for account-based employee benefit plans
- Service Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), 529 Educational Savings accounts, Qualified Plan Retirement accounts and State Sponsored Retirement Program accounts
- Handle requests from participants, financial advisors, and plan administrators via phone, email, or chat
- Provide explanations regarding benefits and plan provisions, review claims information and update account owner contacts
- Examine, review, process, calculate and pay claims or administer payments based on plan information and documentation
- Process financial and non-financial transactions timely and accurately
- Meet department and individual service levels and quality goals
- Proactively engage participants, anticipate needs, and offer assistance and solutions
- Demonstrate flexibility and support movement between service center roles as needed
- Protect and properly handle confidential data to ensure against unauthorized access and maintain HIPAA compliance
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, and further applicable education or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of call center or customer service experience preferred
- Ability and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel applications
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and database applications, including formatting and formulas
- Experience with claims processing or benefit card systems
- Computer proficiency required
- Excellent listening, verbal and written skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations regarding urgent customer needs
- Detail oriented, flexible, and self-motivated
- Qualified candidates must complete a video interview assessment within 7 days of receiving the link
- Must have a smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer with camera and microphone enabled
- Availability for initial training schedule (first 4-6 weeks: 10:00 am to 6:30 pm EST) and listed shift times thereafter
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
