About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development of comprehensive category negotiation strategies
- Manage the end-to-end contract life cycle
- Synthesize complex market trend data and research to provide expert guidance and actionable insights
- Facilitate communication of clinically or operationally relevant information, including product recalls/alerts, benefits, educational opportunities, and contract announcements
- Facilitate engagement of end-users and stakeholders to inform strategies and achieve consensus on contract awards
- Ensure contracts meet professional, clinical, and operational standards
- Conduct regular reviews of contract performance with onsite Integration teams or key stakeholders
- Maximize value delivery and proactively communicate relevant information
- Manage associates day to day, including hiring, training, onboarding, professional development, coaching, and feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
- 3+ years of professional experience in contract category management, with pharmacy contract category management experience strongly preferred
- Professional experience within a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) or complex healthcare supply chain environment, preferably managing pharmaceutical or clinical categories
- 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
