About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Negotiate contract pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to mitigate risk and achieve competitive advantage in total cost, quality, and supply continuity
  • Develop sourcing strategies by reviewing and analyzing sourcing data, market trends, and benchmarking best practices
  • Ensure sourcing strategies and supply chain processes are consistently applied, transparent, properly administered, and compliant with policies and regulations
  • Support risk mitigation through contractual reviews
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with Legal, Finance, Corporate Risk, internal teams, and end-user stakeholders
  • Perform contract management and maintenance tasks, including amendments, extensions, and product additions or deletions
  • Provide updates on category strategies and supplier relationship management programs
  • Communicate performance metrics and process improvement and cost-reduction initiative status to leadership and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
  • 1 year of minimum required experience under the Associate's/Bachelor's degree pathway
  • Reg Health Info Tech credential from AHIMA preferred
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 0–3 years of professional experience or previous internship experience in healthcare supply chain, project management, or another relevant area preferred
