About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders to advance community health partnership opportunities
Represent Ascension on community coalitions, task forces, boards, and other groups aligned with the mission and priorities of improving community health
Develop, oversee, monitor, and evaluate major community health improvement programs and initiatives
Lead efforts to improve access to care for uninsured populations in accordance with the organization’s mission and principles
Lead development and approval of strategic plans and priorities for community health programs and services
Prepare, present, and maintain budgets
Report on progress and outcomes of community health programs, initiatives, and partnerships
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate Community Health Ministries strategies with Ascension’s portfolio
Provide direction for health equity-driven performance strategy and population health interventions
Inform Ascension’s strategic direction for community care delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required
7 years of experience required
Master’s degree or advanced degree(s) in business, health administration, public policy, or another relevant field
8+ years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience, including 4 years in leadership/management
15+ years of healthcare experience
8+ years successfully leading and growing Community Health initiatives
Knowledge of community health center business and funding models
Senior-level experience in strategic planning and healthcare operations
Ability to travel roughly one-third of the time or as needed
