About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and optimize the enterprise WAN and SD-WAN environment, ensuring resilient, high-performance connectivity across geographically distributed locations and critical business operations.
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex WAN and routing issues, leading root-cause analysis and restoring service across large-scale, multi-site production networks.
- Drive continuous improvement of the network platform through SD-WAN optimization, upgrades, migrations, and operational enhancements across Cisco Meraki and Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN environments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
- 8–10+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
- Proven experience supporting large-scale, geographically distributed WAN environments
- Expert-level experience with: Cisco Meraki SD-WAN
- Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN (Viptela)
- Strong expertise in: Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, route redistribution, policy control)
- WAN operations, failover, and traffic optimization
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-site network issues under pressure
- Experience working in mission-critical, high-availability environments
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Additional certifications strongly preferred: Cisco SD-WAN Specialist / Concentration exams, CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure)
