About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management services for IOP, outpatient, and future PHP clients
Review and sign laboratory orders, including urine drug screening orders
Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care for behavioral health and substance use disorder clients
Schedule and manage patient follow-up appointments
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record
Coordinate patient care with therapists, nursing staff, primary care providers, and other treatment team members
Participate in interdisciplinary case consultations and clinical collaboration meetings as needed
Educate clients on medications, treatment planning, and recovery support using a compassionate, strengths-based approach
Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in Nursing required
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New Hampshire
DEA license required prior to hire
Experience working with adolescents ages 13 and older preferred
Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred
Experience working with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions preferred
Strong knowledge of psychotropic medications and behavioral health treatment interventions
Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the treatment team
Two (2) or more years of experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or substance use disorder treatment settings preferred
Experience in outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), or partial hospitalization (PHP) environments
Familiarity with trauma-informed and recovery-oriented models of care
Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, ideally across two consistent 5-hour shifts
Availability Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
