About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management services for IOP, outpatient, and future PHP clients
  • Review and sign laboratory orders, including urine drug screening orders
  • Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care for behavioral health and substance use disorder clients
  • Schedule and manage patient follow-up appointments
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Coordinate patient care with therapists, nursing staff, primary care providers, and other treatment team members
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case consultations and clinical collaboration meetings as needed
  • Educate clients on medications, treatment planning, and recovery support using a compassionate, strengths-based approach
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Nursing required
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New Hampshire
  • DEA license required prior to hire
  • Experience working with adolescents ages 13 and older preferred
  • Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred
  • Experience working with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions preferred
  • Strong knowledge of psychotropic medications and behavioral health treatment interventions
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the treatment team
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or substance use disorder treatment settings preferred
  • Experience in outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), or partial hospitalization (PHP) environments
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and recovery-oriented models of care
  • Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, ideally across two consistent 5-hour shifts
  • Availability Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
