About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support behavioral health program initiatives through outreach activities
  • Develop and grow professional relationships with senior executives, medical professionals, and key decision makers at prospective referral sources
  • Maintain a servicing schedule balancing referral partner maintenance and new business development
  • Manage referrals and admissions, converting inquiries into admissions
  • Identify geographic-area referral opportunities
  • Assist in developing marketing and public relations materials
  • Work with professional networks and provide weekly follow-up data and feedback
  • Arrange client meetings and facility tours
  • Collaborate with the supervisor and treatment facility leadership to develop new business
  • Develop or participate in seminars and campaigns to obtain prospective referral resources
  • Identify barriers to client access to services
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidates must be located within 2 hours of Huntington, WV
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and policy/procedure manuals
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions using common-sense understanding
  • Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Flexibility in relation to department needs
  • General understanding of treatment modalities, levels of care, and industry best practices for substance use and co-occurring disorders
  • BA or BS in a human service, healthcare, or business field, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in sales or business development
  • Substance Use Disorder or Mental Health experience strongly preferred
  • Healthcare field experience preferred
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
  • Frequently lift or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs
  • Must dress appropriately
