About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and optimize data models using dbt/SQL, following development best practices and governance.
- Ensure data governance, quality, documentation, scalability, and business impact.
- Participate in discussions with business teams to understand rules and requirements.
- Work closely with software engineers to understand data structure, refresh frequency, limitations, business context, and technical specifics of data sources.
- Implement data quality tests.
- Monitor and maintain pipelines to ensure availability, performance, and integrity of data within your business domain.
- Translate business needs into solutions aligned with data platform tools and strategies.
- Provide support to the data team regarding the data platform and best practices.
- Contribute to the development of Asaas's data platform.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong command of SQL.
- Intermediate professional experience with dbt or a similar tool.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes.
- Experience with data modeling and developing scalable analytical pipelines.
- Experience with code versioning using GitHub.
- Experience in data ingestion, transformation, and documentation projects.
- Ability to solve technical and business problems with a systems-thinking approach.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, the Linux operating system, and querying APIs.
- Basic knowledge of Python.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with generative AI tools.
- Prior experience in fintechs, payments, or the financial sector.
- Experience with Databricks or cloud data platforms.
- Degree in Data Analysis/Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields.
