About the role
- Act as the focal point for inspections by the Brazilian Central Bank (BACEN) and internal/external audits, preparing evidence, responding to inquiries, and ensuring the compliance of Fraud Prevention and AML/CFT controls;
- Monitor and interpret new regulations and regulator reports, translating regulatory requirements into operational processes and internal policies;
- Responsible for mapping fraud processes and identifying control failure points (gaps), proposing action plans ahead of potential regulatory findings;
- Support supplier/vendor contract assessments;
- Draft, review and keep manuals, policies and procedures for fraud prevention up to date, ensuring documentation reflects operational reality and legal requirements;
- Lead audit remediation efforts and projects to implement new regulatory controls, coordinating across Fraud, Product, Compliance, Legal and Technology teams;
- Establish governance KPIs to measure control health and adherence to established policies, and report risks;
- Actively participate in interbank forums and working groups to monitor how the market interprets new rules, anticipating supervision trends and emerging fraud schemes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics or related fields;
- Solid experience in Compliance, Audit or Risk Governance, preferably with a focus on Fraud Prevention;
- Strong knowledge of BACEN regulations and PLDFT (AML/CFT) concepts;
- Practical experience preparing Risk and Control Matrices (RCSA);
- Analytical capability to extract data (SQL or similar) to produce evidence and regulatory reports;
- Excellent written communication and skill in drafting standards and policies.
