About the role
- Analyze costs and performance of credit-card transactions (Merchant Discount Rate - MDR, interchange, card scheme fees, platinization - card upgrade handling), identifying deviations and proposing optimization adjustments
- Develop and improve reconciliation and financial audit routines, ensuring accuracy, traceability and efficiency of controls
- Create and maintain dashboards and management reports, translating financial data into performance and profitability insights
- Support automation and data-analysis initiatives to simplify queries and optimize operational flows
- Monitor governance of contracts with acquirers and card schemes, validating correct application of fees and commercial terms
- Contribute to improvements in routing processes (smart routing) and authorization performance, participating in tests, simulations and financial-impact analyses
- Collaborate with internal teams, translating technical needs into financial and control deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience in the credit-card market (fintechs, acquirers, sub-acquirers, card schemes or e-commerce)
- Knowledge of transactional cost structure (MDR, interchange, scheme fees, Merchant Category Code - MCC) and settlement flow
- Advanced skills for analyzing large volumes of data and producing dashboards and reports, using Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, R and others
- Basic knowledge of automation and scripting (Python) applied to financial controls and routines
- Analytical, curious and collaborative profile with a focus on continuous improvement and value delivery
- Autonomy, proactivity and a strong sense of responsibility, with good organizational and prioritization skills
