About the role

  • Deliver innovative products and services at a rapid pace
  • Engineer a platform that provides services and frameworks to developers
  • Own, automate and troubleshoot Production Releases for a complex set of Biocomputing solutions
  • Implement Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) and DevOps
  • Research, test, and pilot a new metrics collection system
  • Define, select, implement and support a new configuration management system
  • Work closely with development staff and train them on keeping data safe
  • Prototype reusable patterns and tools and coach developers
  • Setup/Configuration/Administration of tools like GIT and Splunk
  • Assist development teams in implementing the versioning and archiving of software artifacts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or better in Computer Science or related field
  • Five (5) years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, or relevant technical role
  • Five (5) years of experience working with Windows/Linux Administration, AWS & AWSCLI, SaltStack, Docker, MS SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Splunk
  • Articulate enough to explain ideas/concepts simply and effectively
  • Demonstrated work experience managing complex infrastructure projects with minimal supervision
  • Works well with group inside and outside of defined team
