About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead or participate in strategic initiatives supporting Arthrex Arthroplasty and ortho biologics growth
- Coach sales teams on procedural workflows, biologic treatment algorithms, and consultative selling strategies
- Define product positioning, value propositions, competitive differentiation, and pricing strategies
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand ortho biologic utilization within arthroplasty procedures
- Develop new products with Marketing, Engineering, and Sales Management personnel
- Coordinate product strategy, research and development requirements, development, manufacturing, and release to production
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, operations, and third-party partners on product definitions
- Conduct market analysis and research, track market trends, and produce competitive analysis materials
- Develop and maintain prioritized customer and market requirements
- Coordinate marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans for the product line
- Prepare product development objectives, schedules, technical reviews, and financial reviews
- Identify partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products
- Participate in key sales situations and conduct surgeon and sales representative product and procedure training
- Manage products through the development life cycle from concept and design through prototype and release
- Establish project plans, scope of work, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Direct and coordinate cross-functional project teams to meet schedule and budget requirements
- Maintain customer communications and control project scope, design, budget, quality, and schedule agreements
- Provide technical assistance with complex customer issues and consulting services
- Submit reports and status updates to senior management
- Determine initial production quantities and twelve-month moving forecasts
- Establish and maintain relationships with key surgeons
- Define promotional activities and coordinate product introduction and market exploitation
- Provide continuing product surveillance and management of established products
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, engineering or clinical
- Five or more years’ experience in medical device development, product management, engineering, sales, marketing, or clinical medical-device experience
- Strong knowledge of arthroplasty procedures, implant systems, orthopedic biologics and/or wound care
- Orthobiologic and/or wound care product experience, including bone graft substitutes, cellular allografts, PRP, BMAC, synthetic grafts, regenerative technologies, or closure technologies
- Understanding of functions involved in product development, production, and marketing preferred
- Ability to coordinate activities across different functions to achieve desired results
- Excellent listening skills and ability to identify and isolate customer concerns or objections
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills required
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Orthopedic experience preferred
