About the role

  • Support various product development and prototyping across the I&R portfolio, including new and existing devices/accessories.
  • Develop mechanical, electrical, programmable fixtures, test jigs, and test methods.
  • Assemble, debug, and evaluate (test) engineering prototypes.
  • Continue operation and data management for product testing.
  • Support R&D project investigations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a recent Mechanical or Electrical Engineering graduate, required.
  • Junior or above preferred. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
  • Having completed coursework in electronics and software programming preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing and possess the ability to work through technical issues.
  • Statistical analysis experience in tools such as MiniTab preferred.
  • Prior experience with MATLAB and/or Python preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
