About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as Communications Lead: plan, coordinate, and manage the communications workstream, including scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables
Manage IT/informatics project activities using established life cycle and project management methodologies; track cost, schedule, and performance progress
Identify and mitigate risks to communications and change-support activities; escalate issues with proposed resolutions
Direct and quality-review the work of communications and technical writing staff
Coordinate cross-functionally with change management, training, and informatics teams to align messaging with workflow and system changes
Apply SAFe Lean-Agile principles and practices to drive value and sustain organizational change and operational excellence through high-performing Agile teams
Prepare project-level inputs for weekly task reports, bi-monthly budget trackers, and monthly progress reports

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree
Minimum 10 years of experience managing Information Technology-related projects
Experience with life cycle and project management methodologies, including tracking cost, schedule, and performance
Experience with and demonstrated understanding of SAFe Lean-Agile principles and practices
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable VA background investigation at the Low Risk / NACI level, including electronic fingerprinting and e-QIP submission
Availability for occasional CONUS travel to VA Medical Centers (approximately 5-day site visits) in support of EHR Go-Live and Post Go-Live activities as authorized by the Government
