About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform quality control review of all work products and deliverables to meet the QASP standard of 98% accuracy, including correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting appropriate for the intended audience.
  • Develop plans and programs for achieving and maintaining product and service quality throughout the deliverable life cycle.
  • Support End-to-End testing and UAT for Veteran and Family Member Program (VFMP) Modernization projects, including UAT Plans, test cases, test scenarios, End-to-End Test Plans, test schedules, and tester training.
  • Maintain a Production Defect and Issue Tracker logging all opened and closed defects and issues, including detailed descriptions, dates, owners, next steps, and required escalations.
  • Monitor operations to prevent the production of defects and verify adherence to quality plans and requirements.
  • Analyze and investigate adverse quality trends or conditions and initiate corrective action, including firm commitments for changes needed to meet standards.
  • Develop and apply performance metrics to monitor program status, and analyze metrics to make recommendations for improvement.
  • Validate that automation and modernization tools meet 100% of agreed business requirements during User Acceptance Testing prior to deployment.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 years of experience in quality management, quality assurance, or deliverable quality control, preferably supporting government programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing quality plans, monitoring adherence to quality requirements, and driving corrective action.
  • Experience supporting UAT or End-to-End testing, including developing test cases, test scenarios, and test schedules.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, tools, and techniques such as Lean Six Sigma, CMMI, ISO 9000/9001, or the Malcolm Baldrige criteria.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
  • Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
