About the role

  • Build, operate and continuously develop a scalable data platform (data warehouse / data lake / lakehouse)
  • Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate a wide variety of data sources
  • Ensure data quality, performance, scalability, and cost optimization
  • Implement monitoring, governance, and security frameworks (including GDPR)
  • Work closely with analytics, product, and engineering teams
  • Automate data processes and continuously improve existing architectures
  • Actively shape the data strategy and evaluate new technologies

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in data engineering or a comparable role
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, and solid engineering practices (testing, CI/CD)
  • Deep understanding of modern data architectures and data modeling
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and common data tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Spark, Snowflake)
  • Strong quality and ownership mindset for production data pipelines
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly and translate business requirements
  • Team player with an interest in mentoring and continuous development
  • Business-fluent English (required); German skills are a plus.
