About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead market access strategy across marketed and pipeline products, including patient access, formulary positioning, and reimbursement
  • Serve as the organization's senior expert on payer engagement, reimbursement trends, patient access, contracting, and pricing
  • Manage Gross-to-Net strategy, government pricing reporting, and governance processes
  • Monitor and communicate financial risks and opportunities associated with market access strategies and contract decisions
  • Lead the pricing committee and serve as executive sponsor of the Deals Desk process
  • Provide executive oversight of commercial and government contracting activities, including GPOs, IDNs, wholesalers, distributors, and strategic customers
  • Oversee government pricing programs, including Medicaid, Medicare, 340B, Federal Supply Schedule, Veterans Affairs, and applicable state programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state pricing regulations, government reporting requirements, and contractual obligations
  • Provide executive oversight of vendors supporting Gross-to-Net calculations, contract administration, and pricing analytics
  • Manage and optimize patient support strategies, including copay, cash, telemedicine, and access hub programs
  • Optimize pharmacy and distribution networks, manage DSA fees, and support retail and non-retail classes of trade
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, and Finance on commercial execution, forecasting, contract investments, and revenue realization
  • Foster compliance, integrity, and ethical leadership throughout the organization
  • Contribute to New Product Planning and business development opportunities as needed
  • Report to the Chief Commercial Officer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience
  • 15+ years of commercial experience, with direct responsibility for market access strategy, pricing, and reimbursement within the life sciences industry
  • At least 5 years of people-leadership experience
  • Extensive expertise and strong relationships with key decision-makers at pharmacy benefit managers and national/regional payers
  • Experience with Medicaid policy, contracting, and reimbursement frameworks
  • Experience in categories involving generic competitors and/or acute medication products highly preferred
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of the payer landscape, market access dynamics, and current trends affecting reimbursement, contracting, and financial implications for brands
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 15%, as needed
