About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform sales and technical functions for retention and cross-selling of Podiatrist professional liability, cyber liability, and miscellaneous professional coverage
- Maintain a renewal book of professional liability and miscellaneous coverage for Podiatrists and other Physicians
- Initiate renewal applications for appropriate carriers
- Review renewal applications and process them to appropriate carriers
- Secure underwriting information and coordinate with carriers for quotes and binding coverage
- Handle customer service for bound business
- Present proposals to insureds and follow up for bind orders
- Process correspondence requesting changes, cancellations, binders, and certificates
- Create and process finance contracts for accounts requiring premium financing
- Establish and build carrier and customer relationships
- Assist with new business revenue acquisition from new and existing clients
- Manage client relationships and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
- Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, and professional events
- Research client inquiries using internal and external vendor systems and prepare real-time responses
- Prepare marketing strategy information and market accounts to insurance carriers
Requirements
What you’ll need- HS Diploma or equivalent is required
- Prefer a college degree
- State of Florida License (2-20 P&C) required
- Skill and ability to type 40 wpm
- Ability to operate office equipment and a PC
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Applied Epic
- Knowledge of good business practices and office procedures
- Ability to exercise prudent judgment in adhering to business and personnel guidelines
- Ability to be a passenger on a plane, drive and rent a motor vehicle, and maintain a good driving record
