About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop a full understanding of the regulations governing joint insurance funds in the State of New Jersey.
  • Identify all markets and other alternative risk mechanisms for the placement of public entity business.
  • Understand and incorporate procedures that are required by alternative risk placements in the servicing of new and existing business.
  • Be proficient in the knowledge of public entity insurance so to identify risk exposures and applicable coverages.
  • Assist in the compilation and preparation of marketing and underwriting data and the ability to condense material into excel worksheets as required by carriers.
  • Review quotations, policies, endorsements and audits for accuracy.
  • Meet established time frames of reporting as required by the State regulations governing joint insurance funds.
  • Assist in providing administrative services to the joint insurance fund in accordance with State regulations.
  • Delegate to support staff specific assignments and monitor for thoroughness and completion within given timeframes.
  • Assist support staff and producers with any service related matters.
  • Attend meetings as required by the profit center manager.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a current a valid NJ Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Minimum of five years of public entity insurance experience or equivalent property and casualty experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or management position.
