About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define critical markets and new customers in the assigned sales territory
- Plan sales strategy and develop key customer relationships for solution selling
- Maintain and promote relationships with customer contacts determining design opportunities
- Address existing business challenges and ensure customer satisfaction regarding supply chain management and value-added services
- Develop strategic plans for assigned accounts
- Sell and market Arrow’s full set of offerings and key supplier lines
- Prepare internal quarterly business reviews (iQBR), including strategic plans and implementation steps
- Lead regular QBRs with major customers to unlock additional sales opportunities
- Promote and sell value-add, supply chain, and full life cycle programs offered by Arrow
- Track sales using sales tracking systems, SalesForce.com, and Oracle Establish
- Build relationships with key suppliers
- Participate in a sales compensation plan with variable OTE tied to sales-related goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires experience interacting with vendors and customers in a technical and engineering environment
- Extensive understanding of pricing programs and models within the electronics industry
- Comprehensive ability to develop strategic plans for all assigned accounts
- In-depth knowledge of Arrow’s key supplier lines
- Ability to prepare comprehensive internal quarterly business reviews (iQBR)
- Ability to lead regular QBRs with major customers
- Proficiency in sales tracking systems, SalesForce.com, and Oracle Establish
- Ability to build relationships with key suppliers
- Requires in-depth knowledge and experience
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
- Works independently; receives minimal guidance
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Contributes to process improvements
- Typically requires 5–7 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience
- Must be able to travel to an Arrow office location as requested by Arrow leadership
- Expected travel throughout the assigned territory
