About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day legal and contractual requests from legal, commercial, A&R, marketing, and cross-company teams
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage artist distribution, content distribution, music licensing, publishing, label, producer, vendor, and supplier agreements
Handle rights, royalties, intellectual property, copyright, neighbouring rights, and catalogue registration and protection matters
Ensure contracts align with company policies, Egyptian law, and industry best practice
Coordinate with collecting societies and regulators as needed
Review and support agreements involving foreign labels, distributors, and digital platforms
Advise internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, and associated risks
Provide practical legal guidance on business decisions, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation
Support resolution of legal issues, disputes, and infringement claims with internal teams and external counsel
Maintain contracts, templates, and records
Conduct legal research and monitor laws, regulations, and music-industry trends

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in law (English Section is a must)
2–4 years of post-qualification experience
Ideally, exposure to media, entertainment, music, or technology sectors
Solid drafting, negotiation, and contract interpretation skills
Ability to own routine legal matters end-to-end
Ability to draft in both Arabic and English
Working understanding of intellectual property, licensing, and commercial contract risk
Familiarity with music rights is a strong plus
Some exposure to cross-border or international agreements
Fluency in English and Arabic, written and spoken
Licensed to practice law; Bar membership required
Practical, solution-oriented mindset and good business judgement
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to balance legal risk with business needs
Genuine interest in music and entertainment
