About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with third-party recruiters to source qualified candidates for various residential construction roles, including project engineers, superintendents, and administrative staff.
- Creating partnerships within the community to support a long-term candidate pipeline, to include trade schools, colleges, resource centers, etc.
- Proactively maintain a robust pipeline of talent for future hiring needs.
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements, role expectations, and team dynamics.
- Provide hiring managers with candidate shortlists, schedules for interviews, and feedback from third-party recruiters.
- Coordinate and streamline communication between third-party recruiters and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee the interview scheduling process and ensure timely follow-up with candidates and hiring managers.
- Manage applicant tracking system (ATS) to keep records organized and up to date.
- Act as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive experience.
- Conduct initial screenings and provide insights on candidate alignment with company culture and role expectations.
- Track and report on key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality.
- Provide feedback to improve the efficiency of recruitment processes and third-party partnerships.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in construction, engineering, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing techniques.
- Proficient in applicant tracking systems (ATS) Lever and HR software NetSuite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring.
- Experience working with third-party recruiters or staffing agencies (preferred).
- Knowledge of residential construction industry roles and skills (preferred).
- Certification in HR or recruitment (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, AIRS certifications) (preferred).
