About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate business through close relationships with the travel agent channel in USCA
- Execute Key Retail Account plans developed by the Key Account Team
- Grow RM business with existing retail partners and develop new travel agency relationships
- Develop business through relationship building with retail accounts to meet and exceed KPI targets
- Manage travel agency relationships and grow FIT and Groups business
- Formulate and execute territory-specific plans with the Senior Manager, Sales
- Identify new business development opportunities and competitive prospects
- Build sales campaigns to drive bookings, revenue, and market share
- Analyze territory marketplaces, competitors, industry trends, company results, and economic climate
- Work with sales colleagues and Package Groups teams to drive FIT and Groups business
- Develop business plans, sales strategies, budgets, and business cases for targeted trade partners
- Attend sales conferences, trade shows, marketplaces, familiarization tours, training, and industry events
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and supporting documents to solicit and close business
- Provide input on marketing and sales programs, strategies, and initiatives
- Forecast revenue and business trends accurately and insightfully
- Provide marketplace and competitive activity feedback
- Process sales information accurately and log activities in Salesforce
- Ensure consistent brand messaging in sales materials
- Maintain long-term relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners
- Collaborate across USCA and other functional business areas
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-Secondary education and experience in the Travel/Tourism industry
- 5-10 years prior travel industry sales experience preferred
- Experience building relationships through in-person, virtual, and telephone interactions
- Ability to influence and build relationships
- Strong presentation and training skills, in person and via webinars
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Broad general business knowledge and strong business judgment and decision-making skills
- Professional and polished presentation
- Ability to tailor and target communications to internal and external audiences
- Creative and resourceful approach
- Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Concur, and PowerBI would be an asset
- Ability to define business potential and use analytics to uncover sales opportunities
- Ability to travel within the USA and Canada
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle required
- Up to 50% travel required
